Library classes are held daily, and volunteers are always welcome (please check in with the Office first). Each class comes to the Library every other week for a lesson and book borrowing.
Students may also return and borrow books during first recess and must have a library pass during this time.
Books may be borrowed for two weeks and may be renewed once. Book borrowing limits are per grade level and include the following:
- Preschool: 1 Book
- Kindergarten: 1 Book
- Grades 1-2: 2 Books
- Grade 3: 2 Books and 1 Magazine
- Grades 4-5: 3 Books and 1 Magazine
Lost or damaged books must be paid for before students are allowed to borrow books.
Students may also borrow e-books from the Digital Library, established by the Hawaii DOE. The lending period is 14 days, and the website is easy to navigate. The link may be reached directly at http://hidoe.lib.overdrive.com or through Mililani Uka’s website under the Student tab. Students should use their identification number to access the e-books.
