Student Council (Grades 4 and 5)
The Student Council of Mililani Uka directs and drives school activities each school year. The Council is made up of five (5) officers from Grade 5 (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian), as well as classroom representatives (two representatives from each fourth and fifth grade homeroom). The Student Council meets once a month after school, and participates in a variety of school and community activities. They also serve as the liaison between the student body and the Administration, Hui `o Mililani Uka, and School Community Council.
Officers are recruited through an election process during the 2nd semester of the 4th grade school year. Students wishing to run for office complete a nomination form and their homeroom teacher completes a rating form. Representatives are recruited at the beginning of the school year. Two representatives are chosen from each 4th and 5th grade classroom.
Campus Police Officers CPO (Grade 5)
CPO’s support the safety of the campus by monitoring the campus pick up and drop off areas to ensure pedestrian and campus safety rules are followed before and after school. There are two CPO platoons that report to duty every other week for the entire week throughout the school year. CPO’s report to school at 7:15 AM on the days their platoon is on duty. They serve from 7:25-7:40 in the morning, and 2:05-2:20 after school (Wed. 1:10-1:25).
Duties include raising and lowering the flag and supporting pedestrian safety at various locations on campus (bike rack, office, bus stop). CPO’s are considered school leaders. Each platoon has further opportunities for leadership through the positions of Captain, Lieutenant and Sergeant. A CPO of the year is also honored at the 5th grade Aloha Assembly in June.

The students practice before and after school with the Physical Education teacher. Each year our track team participates with the other schools in the complex track meet held at Mililani High School.
Garden Club (Grade 3)
The Garden Club of Mililani Uka are Grade 3 students who meet once a week to help plant, observe and care for the ‘Aina In Schools’ garden beds. Students participate in field trips to learn more about sustainability as well as understanding the importance of growing locally through lessons, books, and experiences. These students don’t mind getting their hands dirty, and love to learn about what plants need and how they grow. Students show what they have learned by leading tours of the gardens.
Chorus (Grade 3-5)
The Mililani Egret Chorus is open to students in Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades who enjoy music and like to sing. The goal of the Egret Chorus is to encourage musical growth and increase understanding and appreciation of different music genres while providing students with opportunities to perform on stage. Permission forms are sent home in late August for student sign up. Practices are held after school on Mondays or Wednesday depending on the grade and school schedule. Egret chorus members commit to attend all rehearsals and performances, be on time for practice, come with a positive attitude ready to listen and sing when instructed, and to try their best at all times. Performances for parents and the community include school assemblies, the Complex Character Counts event, the Complex Choral Festival, and school parent events like the Hui Spring Fling.
