Hi Everyone!

We hope you all enjoyed May Day. It was a great day, the weather held out and our students had a fun time performing. We appreciate all of you who were able to drop off greenery and flowers. A special thank you to several parents who scoured the neighborhoods in our area to look for extra flowers on Thursday. Our flower decorations transformed a basketball court into a festive stage for our students. And thank you to those of you who purchased bentos. Close to 400 bentos were sold!

We all also wanted to thank you and the members of our Hui O Mililani Uka for the delicious food at our staff appreciation lunch. Everyone enjoyed the barbecue with all the tasty salads and yummy desserts.

The latest update to our website include photo galleries of our track meet, spirit week, student council food drive, science olympiad, and our lion dance.

Also there, you will find the SKOOL Tools form.

School Cafe is a new program that will let you pay online (for a fee) and be able to check your child’s account balances (free). You will need your child’s identification number (it is on their report card).

Our Mililani Public Library has a summer reading program. “Build a Better World,” is from June 4 to July 15. Preregister online beginning Mya 23 at librarieshawaii.org

Please remember to check our lost and found in the office as weel as in the cafeteria with A+ for your child’s lost items. We will be donating any left over lost items to charity after June 15th.

Congratulations to our grades PreK – 2 Curriculum Coach, Mrs. Kagamida. She is our school’s teacher of the year!

Lastly, very special congratulations to the students in Mrs. Palompo’s class that just received a certificate from IXL congratulating them for outstanding achievement by finishing 100,000 math problems this year!

Thank you for making this year very special for all of us here at Mililani Uka. We appreciate your continued support of our school. Enjoy Summer!

Reminder: Next week Wednesday (5/23/17), we end at 2:05pm and Friday (5/25/17), we end at 12:25pm.
